It has been over a year now that we have been planning and working on our very special memorial garden at Kingsdown Crematorium. Since we started the site has undergone a complete transformation and we are now very near to completion!
Now we have heard that the memorial statue that we have commissioned for the centre of the garden, and the four inscribed benches, have been confirmed for delivery for the 3rd Oct. The following weekend on Sat 8th Oct and maybe the 9th too depending on the weather, we will be laying the patio, planting up the remaining small flower borders and doing a massive amount of weeding and tidying up. There will be plenty to do in order to have it looking at its best in time for the official opening the following weekend!
The official opening will be on Saturday 15th October, from 2pm. We are planning a short memorial service, a very special balloon release and an opportunity to lay memorial pebbles in the garden.
