Memorial Garden 2012

We are pleased to say that our very own Swindon Sands memorial garden, which we proudly opened officially in October last year, faired pretty well over the Winter. The Escallonia hedges that form the main eye shape of the Sands logo held up very well over the cold months and we are very much looking forward to seeing the memorial shrub border flourishing in the next few months.

On the 3rd March we held our first work day of the year, unfortunately not many people were able to make it but those that did carried out an amazing job in clearing the weeds and giving it a new lease of life.

There will be lots to do this year; flower borders to plant with colourful summer bedding plants and it will also be a perfect opportunity to plant something in our memorial border in memory of your baby. No doubt there will also be lots more weeding to do too! We are hoping to provide refreshments to keep everyone going.

Anyone that wishes to lay a memory pebble can do so at anytime.  The decorative gravel border already has many beautiful pebbles all created with love and affection in memory of our precious little ones. So that they endure the British weather for as long as they can it is best to paint them with acrylic paint and to then varnish them with PVA glue. For any further information at all on the garden please email admin as above.
