Mini Memory Boxes

In July we launched our new 'Mini Memory Boxes' to Great Western Hospital. After successfully launching the larger boxes for delivery ward, we thought about families going through earlier losses on Gynae's Beech ward and wanted to do something to support them too. Losing a baby at any stage is heartbreaking and to go through a delivery and still leave the hospital empty handed is devastating, so we have put together smaller boxes to create memories in the short time available.

The boxes include a mini hand knitted blanket, 2 small teddies, poem cards, a handmade card, support literature and a Certificate in recognition of having a baby. We have also provided small hand knitted ‘Angel Pockets’ which are beautiful little pouches knitted by local volunteers, for baby to be snuggled into ready for burial or cremation. The boxes and pockets are available for losses from 14 - 19wks and we hope that they will be a comfort to families at such a difficult time.
